Talk of Luck.
The Fourteenth Dalai Lama was in Medicity, Gurgaon for inaugurating a facility and a health check up on the 1st of Jan 2013.
Local Tibetians and ardent followers were waiting in the cold ( about 7 deg C) from 0730 hrs till about 1100 hrs.
The youngest disciple-in-waiting was cuddled by all. Maybe he got more attention that His Holiness.
The Dalai Lama, on his way back from the check-up, greeted everyone with a cheerful "Hullo everybody".
It is not everyday that the living legend talks to you from touching distance and waves at you when you salute him.
No wonder all of us felt blessed.
He floored us with his charm and his aura. And, He don't need them gloves to knock down any dragon.

when you are talking about that man....dalai lama ....two things strike you.
ReplyDeletehe laughs plenty....but when you are near him, you feel a sense of presense....of someone who is definitely made of better stuff than the rest of us....as if by contact with him however briefly, you are somehow ennobled...improved.
As far as i am concerned, people like him are the embodiment of the word "peace". Om shanti shanti shantihi.
At least you had the opportunity to seek him!! You are blessed!
