The Dalai Lama has decided to hang up his gloves, or has he?
Heading a Govt in exile since 1959, this gentle pugilist has thumbed his nose at the Reds in China since a long long time.
Now he has taken off his gloves. is it that he has one last fight left in him that he wants to go bare-knuckled at the Reds?
or, is it that he has shown the world what statesmanship is about by passing the baton...er... the gloves...to a worthy 15th reincarnation?
A few years back, I went to Mcleodganj and saw first hand how this Old Man has an entire nation rooting for him.
He is the straw that the Tibetians have been clutching to.
Only hope, he is not the last straw.

ReplyDeleteThough most monks look alike, Tirupathy return, this one sure stands out! Great job pal.
ReplyDeletethanks, Ahana and Sridhar! check out his lectures on dalailama.com.
ReplyDeleteHe is a decent human being who has fought his cause with democratic means. He is that rare one who actually practices his religion. At the end of the day practicing what you preach is the rarest for integrity! that is what counts. Hope he makes it back to Tibet soon somehow.
ReplyDeleteGood work! Pandasan!!!!
